The Ego of Man

I’ve been doing some sketching and painting as of late, the series is about the ‘Ego of Man’. I am fascinated with Chernobyl & Fukushima. I have very deep concerns for the people still left to fend for themselves. Children are left to themselves to play in a highly radioactive playground where the only protection offered is a standard mask. These masks to me speak the despair and conditions our brethren are forced to live with daily. We take so much for granted in Western culture. I have a deep respect and admiration for the people of Japan, they’ve been hit harder by any other country in the world yet they continue to be loyal to their country, to work together and to not only rise above but actually prosper despite the plight of the nation since March of 2010. God Bless Japan.
